Mine by Katy Evans

3.5 out of 5 Stars - gutted!

Some reviews are harder to write than others, especially when the author has been kind enough to supply our Blog with arc's. But it's important to us all at Sizzling Pages that we write honest opinions and reviews and so I have to say that although I really enjoyed REAL, I didn't love this one because of Brooke.
Here we go...
Perhaps because it was written entirely from Brooke's POV it just didn't work.
By the half way point I was so sick of reading over and over how much she loved him on pretty much every. single. page. that ultimately, we're left with about a novella worth of story and the rest is just her feelings for Remy.

I wanted to throw my Kindle at a wall. I felt like it was being rammed down my throat. The story suffered for this repetitiveness. Also, The. Amount. Of. Times. That. I Saw. This. Drove. Me. Nuts. Grrrrr.

Some of the lines are quite strange too, one about "her tears literally exploding out of her eyes" made me laugh out loud in a sad scene.

His parents saying that they wanted him "serene" was another WTF moment.

But mostly, I think to write a woman into a dumb character that doesn't seem to grasp the basics and is constantly shaking and crying and seemingly unable to stand on her own two feet is always going to fail with me.

Inexperienced? Yes. Dumb? N.E.V.E.R.

Adele - Someone Like You

So much love for this one...

You're beautiful - James Blunt for Debra Anastasia's - Return to Poughkeepsie

Everything about this song reminded me of Debra Anastasia's Poughkeepsie
So this is honor of Return to Poughkeepsie coming out soon!
(uncut version as it should be!)

Dark Passion by Bec Botefuhr

Dark Passion (Dark Brother, #1)

Sometimes it only takes one thing to ruin a book for me. On this occasion it was Willow. I loved Jagger but her 'whimpering', whining and incessant crying really put me off her. I also struggled somewhat with her history which didn't always make sense. I love my heroine's strong and feisty!

So my 4 stars are for Jagger's side of the story! The first half was better than the second for me.

I can't bring myself to continue the series just yet either because there's a twist at the end that was a bit too much of a 'what the fuck' road to go down for me!

Stolen by Jordan Silver

It's Bam Bam!... but not as we know it!

This man is an absolute animal with a whopping great 10 inch cock.

Dear God whatever ointment he was using to soothe her day in, day out for those 8 years of relentless fucking would be worth its weight in gold! She should have been raw!
I don't know how she was able to walk most of the time!
Here's a hint! LOL

However it was amazing how quickly her Stockholm Syndrome passed!...

As always the daddy thing made me queasy,
that's just not a turn on in this day and age and the story would have been a lot hotter without it.

Overall it's a totally unashamed non-con, dub-con, dual pov,
fuckfest read for a couple of hours with believe it or not, a HEA!

Liberating Lacey by Anne Calhoun

Liberating Lacey

Great story, I couldn't put it down!

I really enjoyed this book it was heartfelt and I desperately wanted a HEA!
I loved both characters. And I always love a dual POV.
Lacey was fantastic. You can't beat a level headed strong female lead.

It's a good long read, lots of details and it's story a with a truthful edge, there are plenty of newly single woman (following a long stale marriage!) that will relate.

I'd have loved the story to have had even more passion and even hotter fantasy sex.
After all, this is billed as having a 'highly erotic “forced” sex fantasy' scene.
Hmmm, not saying I'm an expert, but really for me, there wasn't enough 'NON' in the 'CON'!!

Hence the 4 stars. I'd definitely read more by this author - it had a really well written flow

Ooh and (view spoiler)
